Celebrating Black History Month - Read In
Location: Midwest City
The Midwest City Library will host a Read-In during Black History Month. The purpose of Read-Ins is to create a greater awareness of the importance of reading. Reading about people, places and events in the world expands mental horizons. Like exercise for your muscles, reading keeps your brain active and fit all through life! Reading can be for entertainment, learning or self- discovery and can be shared with family, friends and strangers. Several local and state officials will read portions of their favorite books. Individuals interested in participating in the Crown's Tea must pick-up their ticket(s) at the Read In. This program is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact the Information Desk at 732-4828.
