Live Noon Tunes Continues for Lunch at Downtown Library

Live music, food, and the Downtown Library.  Now there’s a trio everyone can enjoy.

 Bring your lunch to the Downtown Library Atrium, 300 Park Avenue, on Thursdays in January and February from 11:30am to 1:00pm for “Noon Tunes,” a variety of musical styles that will go down smoothly with your sandwiches and sodas.

“Our Noon Tunes has been one of the most successful series of events the library system has initiated in a long time,” said the Metropolitan Library System’s Director of Outreach Services Dana Morrow.  “The short, informal lunch time concerts have been attracting downtown workers for several months now, and we’re thrilled to be able to continue the series into the new year.”

Bundle up and visit the Downtown Library for some music to make you smile.  Bring your own lunch or purchase a sandwich or some soup at the library’s 1st Edition Café.

The schedule for Thursday Noon Tunes is:

January 8: The Crim Trio – cello and finger picking guitar

January 15:  The Panhandlers’ Trio

January 22: OCU Guitar Students of Michael Fresonke playing classical solos and   ensembles

January 29:  The Latin Trio – Salsa and Cumbia

February 5:  Roger Lienke, singer/songwriter

February 12:  Michael Fresonke, guitarist

February 19:  Dolce – folk/rock

February 26:  Sequoyah Elementary Choir and Strings
